Call for expressions of interest
The Records Management Association of Australasia (RMAA) is a peak professional body for persons involved in the records and information management and related professions. We are a non-profit association and serve our members via the publication of our professional journal (InfoRMAA Quarterly), seminars, conferences and training days, networking and various other methods.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from parties interested in becoming involved in our professional development events. Specifically, we are seeking:
- Speakers
- Supporters and sponsors
- Preferred suppliers (function venues, catering)
Speakers
Speakers should be clear, confident speakers with relevant experience and/or qualifications. The RMAA covers all costs in relation to travel and accommodation, and for exceptional speakers, payment for services may be negotiated. Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:
- Using records as a medium for education
- New trends in education, incorporation continuing professional development
- Training non-records and information managers
- Education programs
- Case Studies
- Environmentally friendly recordkeeping practices
- Career development and salary negotiation
- Purposes and characteristics of recordkeeping systems
- Information management and organizational context
- Information systems and communication technologies
- Information generation, communication and utilization
- Information environment and policy
- Management and transferable skills (eg change management, motivation, communication, business writing, project management)
- Environmental and recordkeeping context
- Recordkeeping process and practices
- Recordkeeping theories and principles
To register your expression of interest as a speaker, please complete the ‘Expression of Interest – Speaker’ form below.
Supporters and Sponsors
Supporters and sponsors should complete the attached ‘Expression of Interest – Sponsors and Supporters’ form in full. This will allow us to contact you with sponsorship, support and vendor display opportunities that suit your business development needs.
Preferred Suppliers
Preferred suppliers must be established businesses in easy-to-access locations. Wheelchair/disabled access to function rooms is essential, and caterers must be able to provide specialized meal options for those who are vegan, coeliac or have religious or cultural dietary restrictions. To register your expression of interest, please complete the ‘Expression of Interest – Preferred supplier’ form. Please note that we are not seeking event coordinators and conference organisers as we prefer to manage this business function internally.
