  ACT - Educational awards

The ACT Branch of RMAA offers two awards for academic achievement during studies towards recordkeeping related qualifications.

Masters in Knowledge Management

This annual award is offered for students undertaking the Masters in Knowledge Management at the University of Canberra.  This is an online course.  The nomination and award process is managed by the University of Canberra Course Convenor.  The ACT Branch Council is not involved in any way in the selection of the successful candidate.

The award consists of a financial contribution towards course fees and a one year affiliate membership of the RMAA.  When it is practical to do so (as not all students are located in Canberra), the award is presented by the President of the ACT Branch in person.

Business Recordkeeping Certificate III

This annual award is offered to students undertaking the Business Recordkeeping Certificate III at the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT), Faculty of Information Technology and Business.  This is an on-campus course, with some units able to be undertaken as flexible units where the students work at their own pace but have access to a teacher.  This course was first offered at the CIT in 2005 and enrolments are steadily increasing.  The nomination and awarded process is managed by the CIT Faculty of Business and Information Technology.  The ACT Branch Council is not involved in any way in the selection of the successful candidate.

The award consists of a financial contribution towards course fees and a one year affiliate membership of the RMAA.  CIT faculty of Information Technology and Business has an annual presentation evening, at which the President of the ACT Branch presents the award.
