Position Title : Legal Adviser(s) and Record Management

The Solomon Islands Government Housing Management Project Phase 2 (SIGHMPP2) commenced in late June 2006 and is a three year project funded under the RAMSI Machinery Of Government Program. The SIGHMPP2 will provide technical assistance and guidance to the Central Property Unit (CPU), within the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Survey (MoLHS). The CPU, which is an initiative of the Government Housing Taskforce and endorsed by Cabinet, has been established to:
- Improve current government housing tenancy and property management practices;
- Manage the divestment of government houses both in Honiara and the Provinces; and
- Manage an eviction program of illegal occupants.
The goal of the project is to improve the capacity to deliver government services across the Solomon Islands. The purpose is to assist the MoLHS, the Public Service Department and other key agencies to manage government housing through the implementation of accountable and transparent polices and management practices.
Cardno Acil is currently seeking qualified and experienced consultant for the following position to start in early 2007:
- Records Management Adviser – full time for 6 months
