Barbara Reed will be presenting a keynote on Service Oriented Architectures and Recordkeeping on Tuesday.
Barbara Reed has consulted in the records, archives and information industries for over 15 years to clients in private industry, all tiers of government and non profit organisations. Project experience, both in Australian and within the Asia/Pacific Region has encompassed the following areas:
Barbara is the Head of the Australian Delegation to the International Standards Organisation (ISO) technical sub-committee, TC46 SC11, responsible for the development of the ISO 15489 Records Management Standard and is a member of the Standards Australia Committee on Records Management, IT21. She is active in records classification, functional analysis, work process analysis and recordkeeping metadata and is involved in delivering recordkeeping education and training through the Recordkeeping Institute.
Barbara spent five years as a senior lecturer at Monash University's School of Information Management and Systems teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, specialising in recordkeeping and information management. She has written extensively on archives and records issues for a variety of professional journals.
