Information Masters Graduate with 35 years’ IM experience.

Janita Stuart’s first Masters degree, at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee, was in librarianship where she worked for 25 years before, six years ago, branching out to include records management. She completed her second degree, Master of Information Management, at the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, in 2004.

Janita has been in the information industry for 35 years covering librarianship, records management, archives management, information management, EDRMS implementations, training, personnel development and website development. She has worked for several New Zealand government departments.

In the library world she gained recognition for expertise in reference, cataloguing, customised client services, IT library systems and strategic planning. In the records management world, she implemented EDRMS systems.

Janita is involved with a number of professional associations including the RMAA, for which she is Treasurer of the New Zealand Branch, New Zealand Knowledge Management Network, and the Library and Information Association of New Zealand Aotearoa.
