Philippa Fogarty with Kerri Siatiras will be presenting on Sector-wide scheduling – development of disposal authorities across a sector on Tuesday
With 20 years’ experience in information management, Philippa’s background is in independent consulting, information strategy development and archives management. She has extensive experience in the development of information management strategies at both a high and more detailed levels, and with the implementation of information management initiatives.
Philippa was part of the SWIM Ltd team that developed the ALGIM (Association of Local Government Information Managers) Information Management Toolkit containing a number of tools and templates for use within the local authority sector.
She also worked on the development of the SWIM Ltd IM Health Check© – a tool designed to measure the health of an organisations records and information management programmes.
Recent consulting projects have included the development of a number of classification structures and retention and disposal schedules for New Zealand public sector agencies, as well as Information Strategy development and audits.
Philippa has been instrumental in a number of sector wide initiatives in New Zealand such as the development of the country’s first Justice Sector Information Strategy, and the New Zealand Police Retention and Disposal Schedule. She was a primary consultant during the development of the District Health Board General Disposal Authority.
Guiding these activities for Philippa has been her enduring interest in privacy issues surrounding the development of appropriate protocols and practices for sound information and records management.
