Electronic discovery has been prevalent within the legal profession for some time now, particularly since almost all documents are created and exchanged electronically nowadays. Since many parties prepare their documents for exchange during the discovery process in electronic format, it makes sense that they would want to present their evidence in court electronically.

Electronic courtrooms require not only technology to enable evidence to be visually presented during proceedings, but also require excellent document management practices and procedures to ensure that the evidence is presented in an efficient and timely manner. Management of the evidence during any trial is especially important.

This paper will take you through the document management procedures required to ensure evidence is presented in its best light and will showcase some of the technology used in electronic courtrooms.
