Andy Carnahan stumbled into computing in the mid 1980's whilst a student of meditation. He has been a "PC revolutionary" ever since including technical support roles at Olivetti, Avon Cosmetics, and Microsoft. He has been a trainer for Spreadsheets and Databases. He has managed end-user support at a tertiary hospital in South-West Sydney. A constant in these roles has been making better use of the information that the technology brings into being.
His current role is Manager, Information Services at Wingecarribee Shire Council (in the beautiful Southern Highlands of NSW). This role leads both the Records and ICT teams at Council. This role combines his interest in technology and better understanding how we use information.
He holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Information Systems and is a Professional Member of the Australian Computing Society.
