Lori Ashley

Lori Ashley is a US records management consultant providing consulting and educational services to help public and private sector clients improve the performance of their recordkeeping practices and systems. In addition to a variety of client engagements, Lori co-wrote the 2007 Cohasset/ARMA/AIIM White Paper, ‘Electronic Records Management Survey: A Call to Collaboration,’ with Cohasset Associates President Robert F. Williams, which highlighted serious shortcomings in the current state of ERM and emerging industry trends. Lori is co-developer of ‘Assured Records Management,’ a cross-disciplinary approach to improving controls for the retention and disposition of electronic records.

Prior to joining Cohasset Associates as an affiliate in 2003, Lori served as the state of Wisconsin’s enterprise data, forms and records coordinator. In this position, Lori supported state and local government forms/records officers and data administrators in the implementation of statutory requirements, policies, and best practice standards.

Lori is a member of ARMA International, AIIM International, the Society of American Archivists, and ASQ. In 2007 she was awarded ‘Chapter Member of the Year” for the Madison, Wisconsin, ARMA chapter where she has served as seminar chair for the past three years. Lori was a section leader for the ARMA-SDC Task Force for Conversion/Migration Criteria for Recordkeeping Systems.
